Ingredients you need to prepare Amritsari Murg Makhani are;

 

1) Marination:

  • Boneless chicken pieces up to 500 grams
  • Ginger paste 2 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Vinegar 2 tsp
  • Garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Fresh lemon juice 1 tsp
  • Sour curd 3 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 ½ tsp
  • Half chopped onion
  • Salt according to need

 

 

2) Gravy Requirements:

  • Butter up to 1 ½ tsp
  • Tomatoes up to 6
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Well chopped ginger 1 tsp
  • Chopped green chili 1 tsp
  • Orange color ¼ tsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Fresh cream up to 2 ½ tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Salt just for taste

 

 

3) Ingredients to Garnish:

  • 2 chopped green chili
  • Fresh cream up to 2 tsp
  • Butter 1 tsp
  • Fresh and green coriander leaves

 

 

Preparation Method:

Amritsari Murg Makhani | Punjabi Chicken Recipe

 

It is simple and easy to cook Amritsari Murg Makhani. Following directions will help you to prepare the best recipe with lasting taste.

 

Grind 6 tomatoes to the puree

 

Prepare a paste of all ingredients required for marination

 

Coat the chicken pieces well with this paste and let them marinate for 2 hours

 

Heat the butter in a thick bottom wok and pour in the marinated chicken

 

Keep the chicken cooking till it becomes tender

 

Heat the butter in a saucepan and add powder of red chili, salt, cumin, ginger, chopped green chili and coriander powder

 

Fry it for few minutes

 

Add fresh cream, tomatoes puree and orange color and continue cooking until puree becomes thick

 

Mix sugar and cream, while adding tender chicken into the thick puree

 

Keep it simmering for 25 minutes

 

Garnish the recipe with fresh cream, coriander leaves and chopped green chili

 

Serve Amritsari Murg Makhani or Punjabi Chicken Recipe with butter to guest on the dining table.
