350 grams of cooking apples
225 grams of self-rising flour
½ teaspoon of cinnamon
½ teaspoon of nutmeg
115 grams of soft brown sugar
3 tablespoon of milk
2 tablespoon of brown sugar

Preheat your oven to about 180 degrees or to gas mark 4.
Grease sandwich tin of 23cm then line it with baking paper.
Sift flour and spices in a bowel and continue to rub in butter till it looks like fine breadcrumbs.
Peel off the core and chop apples finely, then mix with soft brown sugar.
Put in mixture of flour and put in enough milk so as to form batter.
Transfer the mixture to already prepared tin then broaden it evenly on the sides.
