Potato Kebabs Recipe | Potato Cutlets Recipe

Potato cutlets are one of the first few things, the teen-aged girls learn to prepare under the supervision of their mothers. They are great as an appetizer and serve as a side dish also with the main meals.  Potato kebabs are easy to make and they are serve with different types of chutneys, sauces and green salad.

Ingredients:

500g potatoes

50g flour

Salt

2 egg, separated

2 tbsp single cream

Freshly grated nutmeg

Oil and butter for frying

Peel and quarter the potatoes and cook in salted water until soft. Discard the boiling water and shake the potatoes in a saucepan and make them dry.

 

Scramble the potatoes through the vegetable mill or potato ricer in a bowl. Add flour, cream and egg yolk, salt and nutmeg.  Beat the eggs white until stiff and fold into the mixture.

 

Heat 1 tbsp of oil and 15g butter in a large fryingpan. Using a spoon, place small balls of potato dough in the pan and pres flat. Fry them until become pale brown, turn on other side carefully and fry until golden.

 

Serve Awesome Potato Kebabs with French beans and any favorite sauce or tomato ketchup as a main meal or with an accompaniment of meat or vegetable dishes.
