Baghdadi Mutton Chanpe Recipe

½ kg mutton chops
2 tbsp ground fried brown onions
1 ½ cup whipped yogurt
One tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp allspice powder
¼ tsp saffron
1 tsp garlic-ginger paste
½ cup oil
6 whole red chilies
8 ground cashew nuts
1 ½ tsp grounded poppy seeds
One tbsp ground desiccated coconut
1 tbsp gram flour roasted


Preparation Method:

Baghdadi Mutton Chanpe Recipe

Marinate chops with garlic ginger paste, salt, and yogurt and leave aside for 30 minutes.

In a cooking pot add oil and whole red chilies fry for a few seconds and add in the marinated mixture of chops and cook covered for 15 minutes.

Add in the roasted gram flour and all the ground ingredients. Stir a little. Now add chili powder, allspice, onion paste, and cover the pot and cook on low heat until the chops are done.

Add the saffron and cook until oil covers the surface of the gravy.

Serve Baghdadi Chanpe hot with Nan.
