BBQ chicken Drumsticks bring back the memories of my young age daughters for sure. They were found of the Chicken Tikka while they were in growing age. Chicken Drumsticks are the star attraction in one of my daddy’s favorite meals. So, my Grand children’s favorite also and we prepare for them fairly often during their visit to my place.
BBQ Chicken Drumsticks can be served as a complimentary barbeque item. The dish is mildly spicy or you can adjust the spice according to your requirement. Ingredients: BBQ Chicken Drumsticks Recipe
- 8 Chicken drumsticks
- 2 teaspoon spice powder(optional)
- 4 table Oil for greasing
- Salt to taste
- Lemon wedges
- sliced onion to garnish
- 3 tablespoons Gram flour
- 1/3 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper powder
- 1 freshly squeezed Lemon for juice
- 2 cup Yogurt without water content
- 4 teaspoons Ginger-garlic paste
- 2 teaspoon Red chili powder
- 3 Green chilies (minced)
Preparation Method: BBQ Chicken Drumsticks
Take the chicken pieces and wash them. Keep them dry.
Fat should be removed in order to cook properly.
Use a knife, cut down the meat from different angles to make deep slits.
Moisture should be removed with the paper towel.
Take a bowl and add yogurt to it.
Take a pan and heat it.
Add gram flour until there is a fragrance from the flour.
Wait for the roasted gram to cool down.
Take another bowl, add yogurt and gram flour.
Add ginger-garlic paste along with the green chilies.
Mix the marinade thoroughly and add red chilies.
Add pepper powder, and salt and stir the marinade.
Use the chicken pieces to coat with marinade.
The marinade should be left for 3 hours.
Preheat the oven, at a moderate temperature.
The drums sticks can be grilled also.
Use a brush to dip in the oil.
Coat the drumsticks with the oil.
Place the drum sticks in the tray and move it to the oven.
Use a foil to wrap the drum sticks.
Use oil over the wrap.
Heat the oven for at least 20 minutes at 200 C
Remove the foil
Use lemon juice over the drum sticks
The BBQ Chicken Drumsticks are ready to be served. Serve with salad, ketchup or yogurt Raita.
