- Sliced spring onions
- Shredded cheddar
- Sour cream
- Lime wedges
- 1 (24-ounce) can chopped tomatoes
- 1 (24-ounce) jar passata
- 1 (15-ounce) kidney beans, drained
- 1 (15-ounce) black beans, drained
- 1-2 cup beer
- 1-2 pound ground pork
- 1 pound lean minced beef
- Black pepper and salt
- 1-2 tabs oregano in dried form
- 1-2 tabs chipotle chilli powder
- 2-3 tabs chilli powder
- 1-2 chopped yellow pepper
- 2-3 Finely chopped onions
- 3-4 Finely chopped garlic
- 6 slices
Preparation Method: Beef and Pork Chilli Con Carne Recipe
Cook the bacon in large heavy bottomed Dutch oven over meat heat. Cook the bacon until lightly crisp.
Add the required quantity of pepper, salt, smoked paprika and oregano once the bacon is browned. Add the chipotle chilli powder, cumin, chilli powder, peppers, onion and garlic in the mixture. Now cook until the seasoning is aromatic and vegetables are tender.
Now it is a right time to put in the beef. Wait till the beef become brown in colour and beef is broken. When beef becomes brows in colour you can add the pork.
Now brown the pork like the beef and break up it with wooden spoon. Now stir in the beans and beer and add diced and crushed tomatoes.
Reduce the level of heat source and simmer for some hours.
If necessary taste for seasoning and put in some pepper and salt in the mixture. Now move the chilli to serving bowls. Add sliced scallions, shredded cheese, sour cream and lime wedges.
