Beef Goulash Recipe

Chuck steak, cubed, 500 g

Stewing veal, cubed, 250 g

Butter or margarine, 25 g

Cooking oil, 2 tbsp

Large onions, finely chopped, 2

Sweet paprika, 2 tbsp

Tomatoes, 400 g

Button mushrooms, 100-150 g

Tomato puree, 1 tbsp

Salt, to taste

Ground pepper, freshly ground, to taste

Sour cream, 150 ml

Chopped parsley, 1 tbsp


Preparation Method:

Heat the oven to 170 C

Heat the margarine or butter and half the cooking oil in a frying pan add the onions and cook without browning over low heat. Drain and remove to a large cooking pan.

Add the remaining oil to the pan and fry the meat over high heat until evenly browned. Sprinkle the paprika over, fry another 1-2 minutes and remove.

Chop the tomatoes, lay them on the top of the meat and the mushroom, beef stock, and tomato puree. Season the beef goulash with the salt and pepper.

Cover and cook until meat is tender in the oven for about 2- 2 ½ hours. Taste and seasoning.

Before serving the Awesome Beef Goulash or Beef Goulash, stir in half the soured cream and pour the rest over the top. Sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve at once.
