Beef with Green Beans is easy to cook beef curry recipe with a delicious variation on a traditional Indian recipe or Pakistani recipe.

 

Ingredients:

Green beans (cut into small pieces), 275 g

Onion medium, sliced, 1

Fresh root ginger, grated, 5 ml

Garlic clove, crushed, 1

Chili powder, ¼ tsp

Turmeric powder, 1 ¼ tsp

Salt, to taste

Tomatoes, chopped, 2

Lean beef [cut into cubes), 500 g

Cooking oil, 30 ml (2 tbsp)

Water, 1.2 liters

Fresh coriander, chopped, 1 tbsp

Red pepper (sliced), 1

Green chilies (sliced), 2

 

Preparation Method:

Cook the green beans in a saucepan of boiling salted water for about 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.

Heat the oil in a large saucepan and fry the sliced onion until golden.

Mix together the ginger, garlic, chili powder, salt turmeric, and chopped tomatoes.  Stir-fry the onion with the help of a spoon for about 5-7 minutes.

Add the beef cubes and stir-fry for a further 3 minutes. Pour in the water, bring to the boil and lower the heat. Cover and cook for about 45-60 minutes until most of the water has evaporated and the meat is tender.

Add the green beans and mix everything together well.

Finally, add the red pepper, fresh coriander, and chopped green chilies and cook for a further 7-10 minutes stirring occasionally. Beef with Green Beans recipe is ready, serve hot with wholemeal chapaties.
