Beetroot Hummus Recipe

In addition to delectable taste, the vivacious pink color of beetroot makes this dish one of the favorite items in parties. Before serving, garnish the hummus with fresh herbs. Cooking time is just 20 minutes.

 

Ingredients: Beetroot Hummus Recipe

 

 

  • Boiled chickpeas – 2 cups
  • Lemon juice – 2 tablespoons
  • Cumin powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Peeled beetroot – 1
  • Garlic cloves – 5
  • Olive oil – ¼ cup
  • Curd – 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds – 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Salt to taste

 

 

Preparation Method: Beetroot Hummus Recipe

 

You can roast the beetroot either in oven or on the stove.

 

Chop the roasted beetroot into small pieces.

 

Take oil in a pan and fry the sesame oil. Grind the cool seeds into powder form.

 

Blend the garlic and chickpeas to get a smooth paste. You can add water if required.

 

Now add salt, cumin powder, olive oil, sesame powder, beetroot and curd and blend it again.

 

Shift the mixture in a bowl and add two tablespoons of lemon juice. Stir the mixture and add sizzling olive oil as topping.

 

For garnishing, use coriander leaves.

 

You can serve Beetroot Hummus with bread.
