Cheese Potato Patties are delicious. Little fried morsels of potatoes and feta cheese, flavored with dill weed and lime/lemon juice are a perfect as they are crisp on outer with a soft inner. They are deliciously flavored and good appetizer.
Ingredients: Cheese Potato Patties Recipe
500 g potatoes
115 g feta cheese
3 tbsp olive oil
4 spring onions, chopped
3 tbsp fresh dill weed, chopped
1 tbsp lime/lemon juice
1 egg, beaten
Flour for dredging
Salt to taste
Black pepper powder to taste
Preparation Method: Cheese Potato Patties Recipe
Take a skillet with lightly salted water and boil potatoes with their skins until soft. Drain and remove skin while still warm. Place them in a medium bowl and mash smoothly.
Crush the feta cheese and add into the mashed potatoes, add spring onion, lemon, dill and egg. Season with salt and pepper (the feta cheese is salty, so taste before you add salt. Mix well.
Cover the potatoes mixture and cool it until firm. Now divide the potatoes mixture into small balls and then flatten all slightly. Dredge with the flour. Heat the oil in a flat-bottomed pot and fry patties until little brown on each side. Drain on kitchen paper.
