Chicken Tomato Recipe is an Asian cuisine. A variety of spices are included to develop the taste and aroma. It is usually served with Chapatti or Nan.
Serves 4 to 5 People
Ingredients: Chicken Tomato Recipe
- Chopped Onion – one large size
- Chopped garlic – 4 cloves
- Cumin – 2 teaspoons
- Turmeric – 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil – 1 tablespoon
- Slice ginger root – 1
- Raisins – 2 tablespoons
- Salt – 1 teaspoon
- Cloves – ¼ teaspoon
- Chopped cinnamon stick – 1 inch
- Cardamom – ½ teaspoon
- Black pepper – 1 teaspoon
- Bay leaves – 2
- Nutmeg – ¼ teaspoon
- Chicken thighs – 6 skinless
- Chopped and peeled tomatoes – 2
How to Cook: Chicken Tomato Recipe
Take a food processor and add nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom, pepper, turmeric, cumin, raisins, garlic, ginger and onion to make a paste.
In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Now add the paste in the pan. Sauté the paste for nearly 10 minutes.
Keep on stirring the paste; otherwise it will stick to the skillet. Add chicken pieces and cover them with the fried onion paste. Stir the chicken and sauté it for about four minutes.
Add tomatoes and liquid to the chicken mixture. Mix the ingredients.
Simmer the mixture for almost 40 minutes on low heat.
When the oil gets separated, the recipe is ready to serve.
(It is good to cover the skillet with a lid while simmering the mixture. If it is uncovered, the liquid will evaporate and you will have to add some hot water.)
Serve with nan, paratha or boiled rice
