The chocolate ice cream cake roll is a chocolate based cake that will have strawberry and vanilla ice cream over the top in order to give a fruitful taste and the texture to the cake.

For the cake:

3 Eggs

2 tsp brewed coffee

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

¾ cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

Icing sugar (powdered sugar), to aid in rolling

 

For the Topping and Filling:

4 cups Strawberry Ice Cream or any favorite ice cream flavor

Whipped Cream for topping

Colored sprinkles, if desired

 

 

Preparation Method:

 Make the oven to heat at around 350 °F.

Take a pan and line a jelly roll with the help of the foil.

Spray the pan with the oil and the flour.

Take the beater and add eggs along with the sugar, coffee and vanilla extract.

Beat the eggs until the mixture becomes dark yellow.

Add the cocoa and salt and mix thoroughly

Add baking powder and flour until all the mixtures are completely blended.

Include the mixture to the pan. The batter should form a thin layer.

Use a spoon to make the layer thickness.

Bake for 12 minutes.

Take a towel and sprinkle the powdered sugar onto it.

After removing the cake from the pan, place the cake onto the towel and then remove the foil.

Fold the towel carefully onto the cake covering all the sides and then roll tightly.

Let the cake cool down on room temperature for 2 hours.

 

Assembling the Cake: Chocolate Ice Cream Cake Roll

As soon as the cake cools, remove the towel and add ice cream over the top of the cake.

Make the layer of the ice cream smooth enough and then add plastic wrap onto it and freeze for 5 hours.

Before the serving, the plastic should be removed.

Use a serving plate to place the Chocolate Ice Cream Cake Roll and then add whipped cream on the top.
