How to Cook Artichoke Hearts
Pull off the stalk right next to the base so that the fibers come away with the stalk. Remove the outer leaves by hand.
Carefully cut off the medium sized leaves immediately above the base by using a large sharp knife.
By using a spoon, remove the entire inedible choke.
Either rub the prepared artichoke heart with lemon or place in slightly salted mixed water before boiling, so that it does not discolor.
Boil the hearts in salted water mixed with a few drops of lemon juice for some time until just tender.
