350g minced lean turkey
1 onion, finely chopped
4 tbsp cranberry sauce
1 tbsp chopped fresh sage
6 tbsp dry white breadcrumbs
1 egg white, beaten lightly
2 tsp sunflower oil
Salt and black pepper
4 toasted burger buns
½ lettuce, shredded
4 tsp cranberry sauce
4 tomatoes, sliced
Preparation Method: Cranberry Turkey Burgers Recipe
Combine the turkey minced, onion, breadcrumbs, sage and cranberry sauce and add salt and pepper to taste, then bind with the egg white. You can mince your own by choosing the lean turkey cuts and processing them in a food processor or blender.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions, make a round shape then press it lightly to give them the burger shape. Chill theses raw burgers for 30 minutes.
Line a grill rack with baking sheet, making sure the ends are secured underneath the rack to ensure they don’t catch fire.
Place the burgers on top and brush lightly with oil. Put under a preheated moderate grill and cook for 10 minutes. Turn the burgers on the other side, brush again with oil, then cook for a further 12-15 minutes until cooked through.
Fill the burgers bun with lettuce, tomato and a burger and top with cranberry sauce.
Serve cranberry turkey burgers with hot potato chips and salad.
