Healthy Fish Curry Recipe

 

To have heart –healthy nutrients, the American Heart Association suggested having servings of fish at least twice a week to get benefit from omega-3 fatty acids and the heart-healthy nutrients that are found in most fishes. However, fish fried negate the benefits of healthy omega-3 fatty acids by adding oil in which you cook the fish. It is always recommended to cook fish without oil for added benefits. Have the techniques for baking, poaching or microwaving the fish to enjoy a tasty meal with the added health benefits.

 

Ingredients:

• Ginger
• Curry leaves
• 2 tomatoes
• 3 teaspoon red chili powder
• 2 teaspoon turmeric powder
• 2 green chilies

• Salt
• 2 tablespoon ground coconut
• 2 big onions
• Clay pot to cook
• 1 bowl of tamarind juice
• ½ kg of fresh fish

• Water

Chopped the fish into small pieces or paste in a bowl. Now add some tamarind juice into chopped fish and leave it for 4-5 minutes.

Put the clay spot on the heat source and turn on the heat. Keep the heat on the medium level to avoid overheating.

Put the chopped tomatoes, onion and garlic in the clay pot. Now pour the fish in this mixture. Let the mixture to heat for some time.

Add turmeric powder and ground coconut in the clay pot after some minutes. Mix the mixture well to make the uniform mixture.

Pour some water and let this mixture to heat. The amount of water used depends on consumer choice.

Add green chilies, salt, chili powder and turmeric powder in a clay pot.

Now put chopped ginger and curry leaves.

Bring this mixture to boil.

Serve it green chili and lemon
