Fried Halloumi Cheese Recipe is a great and healthy dish. Halloumi or halloumi cheese is an un-ripened, semi-hard, brined cheese that is made from a mixture of sheep’s and goat’s milk and occasionally also with cow’s milk in Cyprus. Halloumi cheese has a high melting point; it can easily be fried or grilled.

Fried Halloumi Cheese Recipe is quite unusual but you can perfectly make crispily fried halloumi for an unexpected vegetarian guest. This great recipe is perfect as part of mezze palter or dished up with drinks.

Ingredients:

600 g halloumi cheese, sliced thickly

2/3 cup olive oil

1/3 cup Almond

¼ cup balsamic vinegar

2 garlic clove, crushed

¼ cup finely shredded fresh basil

Heat 2 tbsp of oil on barbecue plate, cook almond until crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Cook cheese on heated oiled barbecue plate, uncovered until browned from both the sides.

Combine remaining oil, vinegar, garlic and basil in small bowl.

Drizzle cheese with dressing; sprinkle with almond. Serve Fried Halloumi Cheese with Red cabbage if desired.
