Fried Spinach Recipe

 

Fried Spinach Recipe is an easy side dish that can be made in minutes. It is also a wonderful tasty side dish that goes well with the Chicken dish or Mutton dish. Fried spinach dish has high nutrition value.

 

Ingredients:

Fried Spinach Recipe

Spinach leaves, 500 g

Mustard oil, 2 tbsp

Garam Masala, ½ tsp

Yellow mustard seeds, 1 tsp

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

Spring onion, sliced, 2

 

Preparation Method:

Fried Spinach Recipe

Wash the spinach leaves and remove the tough stalks.

Heat the mustard oil in a pan until it begins to smoke. Add mustard seeds and garam masala and quickly and cover the pan. The seeds will pop and when popping sound stopped, add the onion and spinach.

Cook, uncovered on medium heat till the spinach has wilted and water evaporated.

Season with salt and pepper and serve hot.

Note:  Mustard oil is fiery but taste delightfully sweet when heated to smoking point and is excellent with most vegetables. So make sure you heat it well.
