Stir-frying is a very popular way of cooking and one of the best ways to cook with the minimum fat. It’s also one of the quickest ways to cook but you need to choose the tender meat. Ginger and Orange Beef Stir Fry is a healthy beef recipe.



Ginger and Orange Beef Stir Fry

Lean beef (cut into thin strips), 450g

Orange rind (finely grated), 1

Orange juice, 1

Soy sauce, 1 tbsp

Cornflour, 1 Tsp

Ginger (finely chopped), 1 (2.5 cm)

Sesame oil, 2 Tsp

Carrot large ((cut into thin strips), 1

Spring onions (thinly sliced), 2


Preparation Method:

Ginger and Orange Beef Stir Fry

Place the beef strips in a mixing bowl and sprinkle over the orange rind and juice. If possible, leave to marinate for about 30 minutes.

Drain the liquid from the meat and set aside, then mix the meat with the soy sauce, cornflour and ginger.

Heat the oil in a large frying pan and put in the beef.  Now stir-fry for 1-2 minute until becomes lightly brown colored, then add the carrot and start stir-fry for a further 2-3 minutes.

Stir the spring onion and reserved the liquid, then cook, stirring, until boiled and thickened.

Serve Ginger and Orange Beef Stir Fry with rice noodles or plain boiled rice.
