This hot chicken curry recipe has a flavorful thick sauce that includes red pepper and green pepper to provide extra color. It is one of the best dishes with chicken and a great dinner recipe for any occasion. Serve with chapattis or boiled rice.

 

Ingredients:

Boneless chicken, cubed, 350 g

Corn oil, 2 tbsp

Onion, chopped, 2

Ginger, grated, ½ tsp

Garlic clove, 1

Onion seeds, ¼ tsp

Fenugreek seeds, ¼ tsp

Ground coriander, 1 tsp

Salt, to taste

Chili powder, 1 tsp

Tomato, 400 g

Lemon juice, 2 tbsp

Fresh coriander, chopped, 2 tbsp

Green chilies, chopped, 3

Red pepper, slash into the large piece, ½

Green pepper, slice into the large piece, ½

Fresh coriander leaves, to garnish

Preparation Method:

Heat the oil in a standard saucepan and stir-fry fenugreek and the onion seeds till they get a darker shade. Add the onions, ginger and garlic and stir-fry for 5 minutes and make the onions golden brown. Make the heat at the lowest point.

In the meantime, mix ground coriander, chili powder, tomatoes, salt with lemon juice in a separate bowl.

Pour this combination into a saucepan and make the heat to the medium. Sauté for 3 minutes.

Add boneless chicken cubes and fry for about 6-7 minutes. Take care and do not overcook the chicken.

Add the freshly chopped coriander, green chilies, and the pepper chunks. Now, bring the heat on the lower side and simmer for 10 minutes until cooked. Serve hot chicken curry garnished with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
