The Khara Chicken Recipe is a semi-dry dish that is mostly served with chapatti. The garnishing and the aroma of the dish make it the special and nice chicken recipe in every respect.



Khara Chicken Recipe

  • 600g chicken
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 black cardamoms
  • 3 table spoon cumin seeds
  • 8 table spoon oil
  • 2 sliced and chopped onions
  • 1 spoon oil hot dried chili flakes
  •  salt to taste
  • 8 curry leaves, thinly sliced
  • One pinch mustard seeds
  • 1⁄3teaspoon fennel seed
  • 1⁄3teaspoon onion seeds
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon coriander leaves, chopped


Preparation Method:

Khara Chicken Recipe

  • Wash the chicken pieces and then dry.
  • Take a bowl and add cinnamon sticks, cardamoms, and cumin seeds.
  • Take a pan and add oil.
  • After a few minutes, add chopped onions.
  • Wait for the onions to turn brown.
  • Add dried chili flakes and salt as per requirement.
  • Add ginger and garlic paste.
  • Stir the mixture and add mustard seeds.
  • Make the seeds turn dark in color.
  • Add oil, onion seeds and cloves.
  • Add the dried chili flakes and curry leaves.
  • Raise the heat and add the chicken pieces.
  • Add cinnamon sticks and the sliced onions.
  • Include yogurt and stir
  • Add a half cup of water.
  • Stir the mixture until the water gets to dry.
  • Add all the spices made in the bowl.
  • Stir the mixture until the gravy gets dry.
  • Add oil and heat the pan.
  • Cover the pan and make the chicken cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Add sliced onions and wait 5 minutes.
  • Take the cooked chicken in a dish and garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Add some lemon juice
