Kohlrabi with Peas Recipe is a healthy vegetarian recipe for veggie lovers. In this vegetarian recipe, frozen green peas can be used instead of fresh peas and crème Fraiche in place of butter.

Kohlrabi with Peas Recipe

3 young kohlrabi with leaves

1 small onion

150g shelled green peas

45g butter

Salt and white pepper

5 tbsp dry white wine

1 tbsp chopped parsley


Preparation Method:

Remove the leaves from the kohlrabi. Reserve the tender inner leaves. Peel the bulbs, cut into thin slices and then into strips.

Chop the onion and put into a microwave dish with 20g butter. Fry uncovered for 2 minutes at 600 watts. Add the strips of kohlrabi and pour in the dry white wine. Add salt and pepper. Cover and cook for 6-8 minutes at 600 watts, stirring once.

Add the green peas, cover and cook for a further 3-4 minutes at 600 watts.

Carefully cut the kohlrabi leaves into thin strips. Stir into the vegetables with the remaining butter and the parsley.

Kohlrabi with Peas Recipe can be an accompaniment to roast veal.
