Lentil Fritters Recipe I Moong Dal Pakoray Recipe I مونگ دال کے پکوڑے

 

A large population loves lentils and likes to eat Lentil Fritters. They are crispy fritters. Another name of this type fritters are Moong Dall PakorayPakoras are one of the famous snacks of Pakistani cuisine and Indian cuisine. A majority of the population eat pakoras as snack. During Ramadan, moong dal pakoray is a must dish for Iftar and every one like to eat it.

Moong Dall Pakoray is a super easy recipe, a best starter recipe and a best snack of all time also. Soaked lentils are grinded and combined with different spices. You can easily make the recipe with variations.  It is also popular recipe in Gulf countries and the whole Middle East.

 

 

Ingredients: Lentil Fritters Recipe I Moong Dal Pakoray Recipe

 

Moog Dal                                                          1 cup

White cumin powder                                      1 tsp

Salt                                                                    to taste

Red Chilli (Crushed)                                        ½ tsp

Fresh Coriander (thinly chopped)                 ½

Ginger garlic paste                                           ½ tsp

Baking powder                                                  ½ tsp

Cilantro (Freshly chopped)                             ½ cup

Oil                                                                        for frying

 

 

Preparation Method: Lentil Fritters Recipe I Moong Dal Pakoray Recipe

 

Mix raw yellow lentils with water and salt. Soak them for about two hours. They will be softening greatly as they absorb moisture.

 

Move lentils with small amount of water and onion to the food processor and make smooth puree. Add cilantro and ginger and process until get a smooth paste. The batter can be made in advance and keep it refrigerator until required.

 

Heat the oil in a pan,  make the dollop of batter by spoon or by hand and place it into hot oil one by one.

 

Fry smoothly until Lentil Fritters or Moong Dal Pakoray becomes light browned. Remove fritters from oil, and place on paper towel to absorb remaining oil.

 

Delicious Lentil Fritters or Moong Dal Pakoray is ready. Serve with favorite sauce.

مونگ کی دھلی دال                        ایک کپ بھیگی ہوئی

سفید زیرہ۔ بھنا اور پسا ہوا                ایک چائے   چمچہ

نمک                              حسب ذائقہ

کٹی لال مرچ                                آدھا چائے   چمچہ

ہرا دھنیا                          آدھی گڈی۔ باریک کاٹ لیں

لہسن                              آدھا چائے   چمچہ پسا ہوا

ہری پیاز                         آدھا کپ۔ باریک کٹا ہوا

تیل                                تلنے کے لئے

ترکیب

مونگ کی دال کا پانی اچھی طرح سے نکال لیں، پھر اس کو اچھی طرح سے پیس لیں۔ جب بنانا ہو تو آدھے گھنٹے پہلے سفید زیرہ، نمک، کٹی لال مرچ، ہرا دھنیا، لہسن، ہری پیاز ڈال کر اچھی طرح پھینٹ لیں اور گرم تیل میں تل لیں۔ مزید ار پکوڑے تیار ہیں۔
