Mango Fajeto Recipe

(Gujarati Mango Rasam Recipe)

  • Fresh Mango pulp1/4 cup
  • Besan 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Salt according to taste
  • Curd 1 cup
  • Paste of ginger green chili 1 tsp
  • Jaggery 1 tbsp
  • Water two cups

The above-mentioned ingredients should be mixed into a smoother mixture of mango and curd.


Other ingredients needed for Mango Fajeto Recipe

  • Cinnamon 2 sticks
  • Dried ginger 1/4tsp
  • Mustard seeds ¾ tsp
  • Round red Chillies 2 -3 small
  • Curry leaves 6 to 8
  • Cloves 2 to 3
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds ¼ tsp
  • Asafoetida ¼ tsp

  • Combine cloves, cinnamon, and dry ginger powder and make a powdered mixture with the help of mortar pestle. Keep this mixture at a side.


  • In a deep pan heat the oil and make the addition of cumin seeds and mustard seeds in it.


  • Once the seeds crackle insert red chilies, curry leaves, asafetida, and pounded spices. On a medium fame blanch this for at least two minutes.


  • Insert the mixture of mango and curd and properly mix it. Cook for 10 – 12 minutes.


  • Mango Fajeto is ready. Serve with rice or roti.
