Matar Pulao Recipe | Peas Rice Recipe

 

The Matar pulao recipe or Peas rice recipe is very delicious because it is much more than just adding green peas to rice. All the ingredients like green chili, garlic, ginger, and onion are first stir-fried with green peas. This veggie fried rice will amaze your guest and family members. Try it in your own kitchen!

Cook time: 25 minutes

 

Ingredients:

Matar Pulao Recipe | Peas Rice Recipe

Basmati long grain rice                 2 cups

Cumin seeds                                   1 tbsp

Ginger, shredded                           1 tbsp

Shelled peas                                    2 cups

Coriander powder                           2 tsp

Turmeric powder                            2 tsp

Spices powder (garam masala)     1 tsp

Ghee                                                2 tbsp

Salt                                                   to taste

Water                                               as required

 

Preparation method:

Matar Pulao Recipe | Peas Rice Recipe

Place the pan over the medium heat source and add the cooking oil, ginger and cumin seeds.

Add the turmeric, salt, garam masala, peas and rice when the ginger turns brown.

Stir fry well and leave the pan uncovered.

Adjust the heat to lower level and add the 3-5 cups of water and bring to boil for few minutes.

Rice will be ready in 10-15 minutes.

Serve Matar Pulao Recipe hot with green salad.
