Meat and Celery Popovers | Popovers Recipe

Plain flour, 150 grams

Oil, for the brushing

Egg white, 1

Skimmed milk, 1 cup, 250 ml

Water, ½ cup, 120 ml

Lean minced meet, 350 g

Celery sticks (finely chopped, 2

Rolled oats, 3 tbsp

Snipped chives, 2 tbsp

Worcestershire or brown sauce, 1 tbsp

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Preheat oven at 220°C and Brush the deep pie tins with little oil

Place the plain flour in the plate and make a hole like in the center. Add egg white with milk and slowly mix in flour. Now gradually add water and keep beating until it is smooth and bouncy.

Keep the minced meat, oats, celery, chives with Worcestershire sauce and the seasonings in a bowl and combine them thoroughly. Mold this mixed material into twelve small balls and position them in the pie tins.

Place the pie tin in the oven and cook for about 10 minutes and remove from oven and speedily pour this batter into pie tins. Bake it for another  20 minutes or until they are well risen and become golden brown.
