Ingredients:

White Bread, 8 slices, large

Softened Butter, 50 g

Eggs, beaten, 3

Mozzarella Cheese, to taste

Vegetable oil, for frying

Parsley, to garnish

 

Preparation Method:

Spread the butter with the butter knife and cut off the crust with a sharp knife. Season 4 bread slices with pepper and a few drops of Worcestershire sauce.

Cut the Mozzarella cheese into thin slices and arrange them in a single layer on the seasoned bread slices. Leave ¼ inch margin all around the bread edges.

Now top the remaining bread slices and press the edges firmly together.

Place the beaten eggs on a plate and dip each sandwich and coat thoroughly. You must ensure that all edges are well covered with beaten eggs to ensure that they are effectively sealed.

Heat the oven and pour enough oil into a frying pan to come to a depth of ¼ inch. Heat gently until a bread crust sizzles and turns golden brown when dropped into the heated oil.

Fry 2 sandwiches at a time for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Drain each sandwich thoroughly on absorbent paper. Keep warm in the oven while frying the remaining sandwiches.
