Murg Chana Recipe | Chana Murg Recipe

Murg Chana Recipe or Chana ka Murg recipe is very common in homes in India and some other Asian countries. It is easy to prepare and it is rich in taste. You need following ingredients and procedure to prepare this chicken recipe. Serve with Ajwain Parathas to enhance the taste and appetite.

Ingredients of this chicken recipe are;

  • Half kg chicken
  • Salt for the taste
  • Garlic-ginger paste 10 tsp
  • 2 lemons for juice
  • Anardana powder 1 tsp
  • Chat masala 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Yellow chili powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • One cup chickpeas
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Half cup oil
  • Half cup of fresh cream
  • One cup of ghee
  • Chopped onion 200 gm
  • Fresh tomatoes 150 gm
  • Chopped ginger 4 tsp
  • Green chilies 6 to 8
  • One bunch of mint
  • Pickled onions for garnishing 4 tsp
  • Fresh coriander 50 gm
  • ¾ cup yogurt
  • Whole garam masala 1 ½ tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 ½ tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 ½ tsp
  • One bay leaf
  • Coriander powder 1 ½ tsp

 

 

Ajwain Parathas Ingredients:

  • Oil to knead
  • Salt
  • Refined flour ¾ cup
  • Carom seeds one tsp

 

 

Cooking Procedure:

Everyone interested in this chicken recipe needs to follow the given directions in same order.

 

Use ginger-garlic paste, dry chili powder, lemon juice and salt to marinade the chicken pieces fully

 

Let the chickpeas boil with turmeric powder and bay leaf and once chickpea is boiled, let it cool in a bowl

 

Add the ghee in a pan and put in marinated chicken to cook until it turns golden brown

 

Heat the oil in a pan and add onions, cumin seeds and whole garam masala in hot oil

Add rest garlic ginger paste in it when onion turns in gold brown

 

Put the tomatoes in and start cooking, while add boiled chickpeas and continue cooking for ten minutes

 

Once it is done, blend the green chilies, ginger and tomato-onion masala and make a paste

 

Pass this paste through sieve

 

Add mind and some yogurt to cook it again for a couple of minutes

 

Put the chicken and cream in it

 

Use coriander and sliced pickled onion for garnishing as Murg Chana Recipe or Chana ka Murg recipe is ready

 

 

How to Make Ajwain Parathas?

 

Mix water, little oil, refined flour, salt and carom seeds to prepare a dough

 

Do the dough dumpling, roll and make a flat bread to put on a hot tawa to cook it

 

Garnish Ajwain Parathas with fresh herbs.
