This is another nice looking, tasty and yummy cheesecake recipe that is quite easy to prepare. The Nanaimo Cheesecake Recipe is just organized in a straightforward manner to the extent that anyone can prepare it with ease.

 

 The Ingredients:

Nanaimo Cheesecake Recipe 

The Crust:

  • 4 tablespoon of melted butter
  • 5 tablespoon of cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 ½ cup of graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ s cup of chopped walnuts
  • ¾ cup of sweetened coconut flakes.

 

For Cheesecake:

  • 4 (8 oz)  softened cream cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups of sugar
  • 1/3 cup of sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 3 tablespoon of vanilla custard powder.

 

For the chocolate Ganache:

  • 1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of heavy cream

  1. Heat the oven above 350oF

 

The Crust:

  1. Mix graham cracker crumbs, coconut, walnuts, sugar and cocoa powder using a food processor and continue to process till it turns fine crumbs. Pour the melted butter and vanilla and pulse till moisten. Press the mixture to the bottom and to the sides of 10” springform pan. Bake about 5 minutes. Bring out the oven but still allow the oven to remain on.

 

  1. Place 9×13 size baking dish on the bottom rack oven and fill with warm water.

 

For Cheesecake:

  1. Inside bowl of stand mixer with paddle attachment, beat cream cheese till light and fluffy. Put the egg one at a time and ensure you beat while you add the egg at the same time scrap the downside of the bowl as continuously.

 

  1. Put the sugar, sour cream, vanilla custard powder, and vanilla. Blend till smooth and pour into the already prepared crust. Bake on top of the rack for 1 hour on a rack filled with water.

 

  1. Turn the oven off and slightly crack it and leave it in the oven for about 1 to 2 hours. Remove from oven and bring to room temperature. Tray to fix the cracks if required and cover with plastic wrap and allow it to chill for 2 hours in a fridge.

 

  1. Put the chocolate chips inside a bowl and put aside. Then with the help of microwave head the cream for about 1 ½ minute, pour over the chocolate chips and allow to sit for about 30 seconds. Then whisk till smooth. Allow the cool a bit before pouring cheesecake and refrigerate once more till sets.
