1 cup basil leaves
2 tbsp pine nuts
2 garlic cloves, crushed
½ cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
½ cup olive oil

Use a mortar and pestle to grind the basil, pine nuts, garlic and seasoning into a fine paste.
Transfer this ready mixture to a new bowl and whisk in the little olive oil at a time.
Add the parmesan cheese and mix it well. Adjust the seasoning to taste and heat the pesto sauce gently.
Making By Using a Food Processor
Place the basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic and seasonings in a food processor and process as finely as possible.
While running the machine slowly, add the olive oil in a slow speed and combine the ingredients until they are have formed a finely smooth paste.
