Phirni or Firni is similar to Kheer or chilled rice pudding which gets a flavor from rose water. It is sweet, lighter, creamy and delicious recipe so in summer days after a spicy meal you can always satisfy your stomach with this wonderful dessert delight. Nuts are added for bringing more grace to the phirni recipe. Phirni or Firni is made in every house of Pakistan and India and it has different versions. You can make this traditional dessert on the occasion of Muslim festival Eid or any festivals of Hindu religion.
Ingredients: Phirni Recipe I Firni Recipe
- Condensed Milk 1 tin
- Rice 100 grams
- Rose Petals few
- 450 ml of milk
- Cardamom powder 1 tsp
- 1 tsp of Rose water
Preparation Method: Phirni I Firni
- Rice should be soaked in water for half an hour. After draining grind rice to get a smooth paste.
- To the rice paste add milk and heat it, keep on stirring because we don’t want mixture to get stick to bottom. Bring a boil and allow it to get cooked for 5-7 minutes. Insert sweetened condensed milk and take away from heat.
- Insert rose water and elaichi powder. Allow the mixture to cool and keep it inside refrigerator.
- Firni or Phirni is ready, garnish with nuts and rose petals and Serve chilled.
