It is a traditional appetizer of subcontinent. It is delicious and mouth watering. A majority of the population prepares this at home and serves their guests.
Ingredients of Potato Dahi Baray
• Yogurt – 1kg
• Corn flour – 1 tablespoon
• Salt – to taste
• Egg white – 2
• Crushed Black pepper – 1 teaspoon
• Crushed and roasted cumin – 1 tablespoon
• Oil for frying
• Fresh milk – 1 cup
• Sugar – 1 table spoon
• Potatoes – ½ kg
• Flakes of red chili – 1 teaspoon
• Rice flour – 3 tablespoon
For making Tamarind Chutney
• Paste of Tamarind – 1 cup
• Cumin powder – 1 tablespoon
• Black Salt –
• Red Chili powder – 1 tablespoon
• Sonth – one pinch
How to Prepare Potato Dahi Baray
-First of all take potatoes after boiling and peeling mash them in a proper way.
-Make the addition of rice flour, black pepper, cumin powder, salt and flakes of red chili. Now you will have to mix everything in a decent manner.
-Apply oil to your hands and make small medium sized kababs and shallow fry them after dipping in eggs. In a separate bowl beat fresh milk, salt, yogurt, sugar and corn flour.
-For making the Tamarind Chutney you will have to add tamarind paste, cumin powder, smooth along with red chili inside a pan and it should be cooked. Remove after adding a pinch of black salt in it.
-Now, take a larger dish and add in it yogurt, tamarind sauce and the potato cutlets that have been made earlier.
-You can use any item for garnishing and serve it in front of the guests.
