If you have ever visited a Sindhi family, you must be served delicious meals with potli ka achaar. It is a traditional Sindhi recipe that has been transferred from one generation to another. Potli ka achaar makes a perfect combination with boiled rice, Sindhi curry, aloo ki bujhya and papad.
Ingredients: Potli Ka Achaar Recipe | Sindhi Recipe
- Mustard oil – 1 cup
- Vinegar – ½ cup
- Salt – 1 tablespoon
- Red chilli powder – 1 tablespoon
- Turmeric powder – 1 tablespoon
- Onion seeds – 1 tablespoon
- Peeled whole garlic – 2
- Raw mangoes – 5 kilogram
- Muslin cloth – 1 meter (cut into square of 4×4 inches)

Take raw grated mangoes and mix them with mustard oil, garlic, chillies, salt, kalongi and turmeric.
Use small pieces of muslin cloth and place the mixture in it. Tie all the cloths in the form of potlis.
Place these potlis in a jar with ½ cup of vinegar.
Keep the jar in outside area (indirect sunlight) for five days.
Keep the Potli Ka Achaar in the fridge in order to preserve it for months.
