Being a cooking maestro that Chef Shireen Anwer is proving to be, combined with her high fan following, I simply just had to try out her dishes and offer her recipe with my reviews and trust me this Prawn Handi | Prawn Masala Recipe is a winner!
Ingredients:
Prawn Handi | Prawn Masala Recipe
½ kg cleaned prawns
3 tbsp fried brown onions, ground to paste
3 chopped tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp each of salt, coriander powder and allspice
1 ½ tsp chili powder
½ tsp turmeric
1 tsp freshly crushed cumin seeds
3 tbsp cream
2 tbsp butter
Two tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp each of sliced ginger and crushed garlic
4 chopped green chilies
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
½ cup oil
Preparation Method:

In a cooking pot or handi, heat the oil and add garlic and fry. Once golden, add turmeric, salt ginger, green chilies, and chopped tomatoes and fry stirring constantly on normal high heat, Add prawns, tomato paste and all the other dry spices and stir fry until the gravy lets out the oil. Add buttercream, lemon juice, onion paste and the chopped coriander leaves on top and leave on very low flame for 5 minutes before serving.
