Sausages with Tomato Relish recipe are perfect for a tasty and quick weekend meal. You barbecue the sausages until cooked and browned from all the sides. Sausages with Tomato Relish

20 long, thin sausages

1 tbsp olive oil

1 garlic clove, crushed

3 tsp brown sugar

1 kg large tomatoes, chopped

1 large onion, finely chopped

2 tbsp fresh basil leaves


Preparation Method:

Heat olive oil in medium saucepan, add crushed garlic, onion and cook until lightly browned. Include tomatoes, brown sugar, and vinegar; simmer uncovered, mix briskly sometimes until the mixture is reduced by half or for about 30 minutes. Before serving, sprinkle basil leaves.

Meantime, cook sausages on the heated oiled barbecue, uncovered, until browned and cooked through.

Serve sausages with lukewarm tomato relish. If you like, decorate with basil leaves over it.
