Making Kofta kebabs are really simple for a tasty summer lunch. These koftas will need to be cooked in batches. Keep them hot when they are cooked while you make the rest. You can use beef meat or chicken meat according to your choice.
Ingredients: Spicy Koftas Recipe
450g Beef or lamb, minced
2 tbsp ginger, finely minced
2 tbsp finely minced garlic
4 green chilies, finely chopped
1 small onion, finely chopped
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp chopped coriander leaves
175g raw potato
Few mint leaves, chopped or mint sauce
Salt to taste
Oil, for deep frying
Preparation Method: Spicy Koftas Recipe
Place the minced beef or minced lamb in a large bowl along with the garlic, ginger, chilies, onion, egg, herbs and spices. Grate the potato into the bowl and season with salt. Knead together to blend well and form a soft dough.
By using your fingers, shape the kofta mixture into portions of the size of golf balls. You should be able to make 20-25 koftas. Leave the balls to a rest at room temperature for about 25 minutes.
Heat the oil in a frying pan at medium-heat and deep fry koftas in small batches until they are golden brown in color. Drain well and serve hot.
