Chicken thighs without skin, 12

Lemon juice, 6 tbsp

Fresh ginger, grated, 1 Tsp

Garlic clove, crushed, 1

Crushed dried red chilies, 1 Tsp

Salt, to taste

Soft brown sugar, 1 Tsp

Clear honey, 2 tbsp

Chopped fresh coriander, 2 tbsp

Green chili, finely chopped, 1

Sunflower oil, 2 tbsp

Sliced chili, to garnish

 

Preparation Method:

Prick the chicken legs with a fork, rinse, pat dry and set aside in a large bowl.

In a large mixing bowl, mix together the lemon juice, ginger, garlic, crushed dried red chilies, salt, sugar, and honey.

Transfer the chicken legs to the spice mixture bowl and coat well. Set aside for about 45 minutes.

Preheat the grill to medium. Add the fresh coriander and chopped green chili to the chicken legs and place them on a flameproof dish.

Pour any remaining marinade over the chicken and baste with the oil, using a pastry brush.

Grill the chicken legs under the preheated grill for about 15-20 minutes, turning and basting occasionally, until cooked completely and browned.

Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with the sliced chili.
