Steamed Chicken Rolls Recipe

Place chicken, ginger, spring onions, bamboo shoots, five spices powder, sesame oil and soy sauce in a bowl and mix until well combined.

Lightly brush each spring roll sheets with cold water and lay flat on a work surface.

Divide the mixture into 8 portions and spread along one end of each sheet. Lay strips of red capsicum and spring onion along chicken meat and push gently until completely enclosed by meat. Fold two sides of the sheet in and roll up, brushing remaining side lightly with water if needed. Press down firmly to seal.

Partially filled a large pot with water (steamer should not touch water) and bring to a rapid simmer.

Arrange chicken rolls in a single layer in the steamer. Place steamer over water, cover and cook about 10 minutes or until chicken mixture is firm and ready.

Remove steamed chicken rolls from the steamer, serve whole or cut into diagonal pieces and stand with cut side up with hoisin ginger sauce for dipping.
