Ingredients:

Makes 10—12

Self-rising flour, 2 cups

Baking powder, 1 Tsp

Soft sunflower margarine, 2 tbsp

Golden caster sugar, 2 tbsp

Sultanas, 1/3 cup

Sunflower seeds, 2 tbsp

Natural yogurt, 2/3 cup

Skimmed milk, 2-3 spoons

Preheat the oven to 230 C. Lightly oil a baking sheet. Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl and rub in the margarine evenly.

Stir the sugar, sultanas and half the sunflower seeds then mix in the yogurt and little milk to make the fairly soft dough. (Do not make a stiff dough)

Roll out on a lightly floured surface to about 2 cm in the thickness. Cut into 6cm in flower shape or round with a biscuit cutter and lift on to the baking sheet.

Brush with milk and sprinkle with the reserved sunflower seeds then bake for 10-12 minutes until well risen and golden brown.

Cool the scones on a wire rack. Serve split and spread with jam or low fat spread.
