What is amazing about the Thai noodles dish is to get a different taste each time by changing the ingredients of the soup. Besides shrimp, you can add tofu or seafood to develop a taste of your choice.
Serves four people
Ingredients: Thai Noodles with Shrimp Recipe
- Water – ½ cup
- Fish sauce – 3/8 cup
- Lime juice – ½ cup
- Palm sugar – ½ cup
- Tamarind concentrate – ½ cup
Add these ingredients in a saucepan. When it boils, simmer the soup for 10 minutes.
Thai Noodles & Shrimp
- Crushed garlic – 4 cloves
- Dry noodles – 16 ounces
- Canola oil or grapeseed – ¼ cup
- Chicken or ground pork – ½ pound
- Peeled shrimp -10 to 12
- Sweet radish or julienned carrot/radish – ½ cup
- Eggs – 4
- Chopped green onion – ½ cup
- Cilantro leaves
How to Cook Thai Noodles with Shrimp
Take hot water in a pan and soak the noodles for almost 20 minutes.
Drain the noodles.
Pour half of the given oil in a pan to stir fry the garlic.
Mix the ground meat in garlic. Cook till the chicken gets golden color.
When the meat is cooked, drain it and place in bowl.
In a pan, add the shrimp and fry it till it gets pink color.
Now, mix the garlic and ground meat in the pan, containing shrimp.
Take a deep pan to pour the Thai sauce.
When the Thai sauce boils, mix the noodles.
Turn the noodles again and again with a fork. (If noodles are not turned, these cannot mix in the sauce and stick to the pan as well)
Place the noodles in a dish.
Take the remaining canola or grapeseed oil to fry the eggs.
On a low heat, add in shrimp, meat and noodles and all other ingredients.
Mix all the ingredients and garnish with cilantro.
Add some crushed peanuts, lime, bean sprouts and chili pepper to develop the taste.
