Vegetarian Katakat Recipe (Vegan Recipe) is delicious. Katakat has been a favorite dish for many of us however skipping the traditional ingredients used in this famous dish, Chef Shireen Anwer presented the same in a vegetarian version. I personally enjoyed the taste not mentioning the benefits as well. This may be the perfect way to feed your family with veggies, in a way they love.
Ingredients:
Vegetarian Katakat Recipe (Vegan Recipe)
125 gm or 1 small cauliflower, cut florets and boil
1 capsicum
½ cup green peas
1 potato boiled and cubed
1 chopped onion
2 chopped tomatoes1/2 cup + ¼ cup oil
1 tsp garlic ginger paste
1 tsp cumin seeds
One tsp cumin powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp turmeric
½ cup yogurt
1 tbsp chili sauce
1 tsp Kasuri methi
One tbsp katakat masala
Chopped green chilies and coriander leaves as needed

Heat oil in a tawa and add in the cumin seeds. Fry for about three minutes before adding in the chopped onions, fry for another three minutes. Add in tomatoes and fry again for some time and add in garlic ginger paste, cumin powder, turmeric, chili powder, capsicum, peas, potato, and cauliflower.
Cook and stir continuously like the katakat process. Add in yogurt, chili sauce, katakat masala, and kasuri methi. Cover and cook until properly done. Serve hot the vegan recipe, garnished with chopped chilies and coriander leaves.
