Biryani is liked by every individual in India, Pakistan even all part of the world nowadays. Either it can be vegetable biryani, chicken biryani or Mutton Biryani, it has an amazing taste.

Mutton Biryani Recipe is one of my most favorite dishes for lunch or dinner.


Ingredients:

Mutton Biryani Recipe

• Mutton – ½ kg
• Basmati rice – 2 cups
• Onions – 1-1/2 cups
• Garlic – 4-5 cloves
• Ginger – 1-inch piece
• Green chilies – 3
• Coriander powder – 3 teaspoon
• Chili powder – 1 teaspoon
• Salt to taste
• Dried coconut – 1 teaspoon
• Poppy seeds – 1 teaspoon
• Cardamoms, peppercorns, and cloves – 3
• Bay leaves – 2
• Cinnamon stick – 1-inch piece
• Curd – 1 cup
• Fat – 8 tablespoon

 

Preparation Method:

Mutton Biryani Recipe

• Wash meat thoroughly and cut in medium sized pieces.

• Soak meat in half the curd.

• Roast cardamom, cloves, peppercorn, and cinnamon. Ground into powder.

• Grind green chilies, red chili, ginger, garlic, ½ cup onions, and dried coconut.

• Heat fat in a pan and fry ½ cup onions and ground spices and fry until onions are golden brown in color.

• Add in meat and fry well.

• Include poppy seed powder and mix well.

• Add remaining curd and salt and cook until meat is tender.

• Now add powdered spices and turn off flame.

• Chop the remaining onions and fry them in a separate pan and then add bay leaf and cloves.

• Fry for 2 – 3 minutes and then add rice fry for another 2 minutes and add salt and double the quantity of water.

• Cook until rice is completely cooked and no moisture is left.

• Arrange a portion of cooked rice in a pan and sprinkle saffron water over it.

• Layer meat with rice and garnish with fried onions and nuts.
