Horseradish Sauce Recipe

This light, creamy sauce has a peppery flavor that’s spiced with just a hint of mustard. It is the classic accompaniment to roast beef but it is perfect too with herbed sausages and grilled fish, especially oily fish such as mackerel.

Ingredients: Horseradish Sauce Recipe

3 inches piece of horseradish

2/3 cup heavy cream

1 tbsp lemon juice

½ tsp mustard powder

2 tbsp sugar

Clean and peel the piece of fresh horseradish and then grate it finely smooth.

Take a bowl; combine grated horseradish, sugar, lemon juice and mustard powder.

Whip the cream until it stands in soft peaks the gently mix with the horseradish mixture.

If you want to change the flavor of the sauce, replace the lemon juice with tarragon vinegar.
