This light, creamy sauce has a peppery flavor that’s spiced with just a hint of mustard. It is the classic accompaniment to roast beef but it is perfect too with herbed sausages and grilled fish, especially oily fish such as mackerel.

Ingredients:

3 inches piece of horseradish

2/3 cup heavy cream

1 tbsp lemon juice

½ tsp mustard powder

2 tbsp sugar

Clean and peel the piece of fresh horseradish and then grate it finely smooth.

Take a bowl; combine grated horseradish, sugar, lemon juice, and mustard powder.

Whip the cream until it stands in soft peaks then gently mix with the horseradish mixture.
