1 kg Red cabbage

2 cooking apples

50g butter

2 clove

1 small onion

250ml water

2 tbsp sugar

125ml red wine

2 tbsp red vinegar

2 tbsp cranberries

Discard the hard part outer leaves from the red cabbage. Half the cabbage and cut out the stalk. Now slice cabbage or slash into thin strips.

Quarter, remove the center parts, peel and chop the apples.

Heat the butter in a large saucepan and gently fry the apple pieces. Add the onion and cabbage. Pour in the water and red wine.

Start heating the sugar in a small frying pan until it caramelizes. Add the vinegar and bring to boil. Combine the cabbage mixture in it.

Tightly cover the saucepan and cook over on low heat for about 45 minutes. In the last add the cranberries.
