Lemongrass Chicken Recipe
- 700 grams of Chicken leg pieces
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 medium-sized onion(sliced )
- 3 tablespoons chopped mint.
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 4 tablespoons fish sauce
- 3 tablespoons minced fresh lemongrass
- Fresh cilantro/coriander leaves
- 5 Red Chilies
Preparation Method:
Lemongrass Chicken Recipe
- Wash the chicken pieces, cut the fat if any.
- Dry the pieces using a towel, keep pieces at room temperature.
- Take a large bowl, add chicken pieces, add honey, one tea spoon would be enough.
- Add fish source to the chicken, and mix properly.
- The fish sauce should stick onto the pieces.
- Wait for the pieces to get marinate.
- Take the lemongrass stalk; use a knife to trim off the leaves.
- From the bottom, also remove the roots.
- Cut down the central part of the lemongrass.
- The length of the lemongrass should be about 6 inches.
- Take the crusher and mince the lemongrass.
- Take a non-stick pan and add oil.
- Heat the pan and add the minced lemongrass.
- Add cloves and mint.
- Stir the pan and after 1 minute add garlic paste.
- The paste and the lemongrass should mix.
- Keep frying unless fragrance is there.
- Add the chicken piece to the pan, the oil should be nominal.
- The chicken should change color in 3 minutes.
- When the chicken turns white, add some onions.
- As soon as the onions turn light brown, add fish sauce.
- Keep frying to 3 minutes
- Add salt and honey and red chilies at the same time.
- Sprinkle Fresh cilantro/coriander leaves
- The Lemongrass Chicken dish is ready to be served.
