Ingredients: Mushroom and Pea Pullao Recipe
Basmati rice 450 g
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
Button Mushrooms 50 g
Small peas 75 g
Black cumin seeds ½ tsp
Cinnamon sticks 2
Black cardamom pods 2
Garlic clove, sliced 3
Tomato, sliced 1
Salt to taste
Water 750 ml
Preparation Method: Mushroom and Pea Pullao Recipe
Wash the rice at least twice and set aside in a strainer.
Heat the oil in a medium saucepan and add the spices, garlic and salt.
Add the sliced tomato and button mushrooms and stir-fry for about 3 minutes.
Add the rice and peas and gently stir around making sure you do not break the rice.
Add the water and bring the mixture to the boil and continue to cook for a further 15-20 minutes.
