Ingredients:

Tomato and Pea Rice Recipe

Basmati rice washed 400 g
Frozen peas 50 g
Onion seeds ½ tsp
Corn oil 2 tbsp
Onion, sliced 1
Tomatoes, sliced 2
Orange or yellow pepper, chopped 1
Ginger, grated 1 tsp
Garlic clove, crushed 1
Chili powder 1 Tsp
Potato, diced 1
Fresh coriander, chopped 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Water 3 cups

 

Preparation Method:

Tomato and Pea Rice Recipe

Heat the oil and fry the onion seeds for 30 seconds. Add the sliced onion and fry for about 5 minutes.

Include the remaining ingredients and stir-fry over a medium heat for a further 5 minutes.

Add the rice and stir-fry for about 1 minute.

Pour in the water and bring to the boil then lower the heat to medium. Cover and cook for a further 13-15 minutes. Leave the rice to stand for 5 minutes.

Tomato and Pea Rice dish are ready to serve. Enjoy!
