Ingredients: Sheer Khurma Recipe
5 cups full cream milk
50 g vermicelli, roasted and broken into pieces
50 g coconut grated, dried
½ cup sugar
2 cardamoms; small green
2 tbsp dates; chopped
10 to 12 raisins
¼ cup almonds; blanched and cut into pieces
1/2 tsp of vetiver/khus
2-3 silver foil or vark leaves to garnish
Take a wide pan and pour the milk to boil. Simmer the milk continuously and thicken it. Now, add cardamom, half of almonds, raisins, dates, sugar, coconut, and vermicelli. Don’t let vermicelli dark brown.
Let it boil and then start simmering just for 5 minutes. Put the vetiver or khus and transfer the recipe into a big bowl. Use almonds, silver leaves and raisins for garnishing. Serve Sheer Khurma cold or hot as per the requirements and demands.
