Umm Ali recipe is an Egyptian dessert recipe. Unlike other Arabic dessert dishes, the ingredients are easily available. Consider this easy to make traditional dessert when you have invited friends at home.

 

Cooking time – 30 minutes

 

Ingredients:

Umm Ali | Umm-e-Ali | Arabic Dessert Recipe

  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Vanilla Essence – 1 teaspoon
  • Dry fruits – 1 cup
  • Puff pastry – 250 grams
  • Cream – 2 cups
  • Whole milk – 2 cups
  • Almonds and Raisins – for garnishing

 

Cooking Method:

Take a lubricated baking tray and place puff pastry over it. Bake the puff pastry in a preheated oven (180 degrees) up to 15 minutes.

When the color changes to slight golden, put the tray aside.

Use a pan and add vanilla essence, sugar, and cream in it. Keep on cooking till the mixture simmers. Place it aside,

Set 200 degrees temperature of the oven.

Place baked pastry in the baking dish. Sprinkle dry fruits over it.

Pour the mixture of milk and cream.

Garnish with the almonds and raisins on the top.

Bake the pastry for 15 minutes.

Serve the Umm Ali or Umm-e-Ali Arabic Dessert Recipe with ice cream or whipped cream.

You can replace puff pastry with Baqar Khani also known as Bakarkhani. You can add or replace the garnishing ingredients according to your taste.
