Things You Need to Make Dalgona Candy

Baking Soda, one pinch

Granulated Sugar, 2 tablespoons

Sugar: Well, either white or brown Sugar can be used in this recipe. We recommend using white Sugar so that you can clearly see the color when preparing this recipe.

Baking Soda: In order to make delicate, light, and airy Dalgona Candy, you should use baking soda.

 

 

How to make Dalgona Candy?

Take a metal ladle and transfer two tablespoons of Sugar to it. Turn on the stove and place the ladle over it. The heat should be medium.

Stir the melted Sugar with a wooden chopstick. When it turns to a light amber color, stop heating.

Now, you have to add a pinch of baking soda because it reacts with Sugar to make brittle and light dalgona candies. Mix it vigorously until combined.

Transfer the prepared mixture of Sugar and baking soda onto parchment paper.

With the help of a cup, press the mixture to make them thin. Don’t forget to grease the cup with oil.

After pressing the mixture for almost 8 to 10 seconds, take a cookie cutter and make your favorite shape.

Dalgona Candy is ready.

If pressing the mixture is difficult for you, then keep it aside for 15 to 20 seconds to cool it down. Then, you can easily press the mixture.

If the mixture is sticking with the pressing cup even after greasing it with the oil, then you can place the mixture in-between the parchment paper.

If you want to make multiple Dalgona Candies, then keeping a hot water bowl next to you is important so that you can directly plunge your metal ladle into it.

Keep the flame medium. High or low flame can create trouble in making flawless candies.

Allow the mixture to cool down for 2 to 3 seconds in order to make perfect Dalgona Candies.
